INDIANAPOLIS -- A three-team deal that would send Tigers center fielder Curtis Granderson to the New York Yankees and pitcher Edwin Jackson to the Arizona Diamondbacks is being discussed, according to FoxSports.com. The trade would present a definite long-range upside, but also could have debilitating short-term effects. You don’t trade two All-Stars for prospects with hopes that they can immediately become forces. However, according to the report, talks have stalled because the Tigers and or Yankees are reluctant to pull the trigger. The Diamondbacks appear to be the driving force behind the deal. The Tigers would get right-handed starter Max Scherzer from Arizona, center fielder Austin Jackson and left-handed relievers Phil Coke and Michael Dunn from New York.
