FreeBSD 5 has gbde and NetBSD has cgd, but I am not very happy with either OS for the same reasons that some of you would rather spend their time contributing to DragonFlyBSD than any other OS, so I would like to know what is planned in terms of similar encryption mechanisms for DragonFlyBSD? Has VFS code been revamped to the point where a GEOM compatible API could be put in place and gbde ported? Also, I read that Ted Unangst was working on a "userland disk" for OpenBSD, which was planned to be able to communicate with GEOM-gate. Any word on that? Thanks, ALeine P.S.: Please CC me, I'm not subscribed. ___________________________________________________________________ WebMail FREE http://mail.austrosearch.net
