Job description:
As a Web Crawling Engineer you are responsible for supporting our
Service & Quality Team to crawl websites and extract relevant data.
You will be supported by a process which is already established and use
an already introduced tool to perform the actual crawling tasks.
In order to ensure quality of the data you will align closely with
our experienced Service & Quality Team.
工作內容:
* Building and maintaining Python code in order to interact with external APIs
* Creating and maintaining efficient and scalable crawling scripts
(e.g. scrapy) to extract data
* Building resilient data pipelines for smooth end to end ETL processes
* Writing clean, scalable and documented code for our data-pipelines
* Proactively finding and visualizing patterns in data and acting
accordingly: quality assurance by trend analysis and plausibility checks
* Creating, testing, maintaining and documenting internal back office tools
* Keeping up to date with market trends to spot new tools and development
methodologies
技術需求:
* 1+ years working experience as a data engineer (or related position) using
Python and code version control, ideally GIT
* Experience with web scraping tools (e.g. scrapy) and in building data
pipelines
* Profound and broad experience in database technologies
* Hands on experience with web APIs
* Good knowledge in NodeJS or PHP is a plus
* Passion to learn about new patterns and engage in architectural discussions
* Drive for writing high-quality code and teaching others to do the same
* Familiarity with the AWS infrastructure agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) is a
* Confidence in dealing with different levels of stakeholders both internal
and external
* Very good spoken and written English skills and interest in working in
an international environment
