Rookie buries 8 of 9 3-pointers as Bulls erase embarrassing 19-point,
third-quarter deficit

The rookie guard from Duke — actually known for doing everything well but
score — shot an unbelievable 8 for 9 from 3-point range to carry the Bulls to
a 114-105 comeback victory.
The eight 3-pointers broke the franchise record previously held by Michael
Jordan, Jalen Rose and Jannero Pargo. Duhon attempted nothing but 3-point shots
and scored a career-high 24 points.
" kind of felt like Ben (Gordon) for a second,” Duhon said. “I always
wanted to know how Ben feels when he gets in those spurts and I kind of got a
glimpse of that today.”
Duhon started the night averaging a modest 5.7 points per game. In the 79
games prior to Saturday, Duhon had scored in double figures 13 times and
tallied zero points nine times.
But suddenly in the past three games, Duhon has hit 14-for-10 from 3-point
range, making 21 of 28 shots overall and has averaged 19.0 points.
“It is bonus offense for sure,” coach Scott Skiles said. “Du’s been such
a big factor for us running the team. But if you never see us play and just
picked up our season stats, nothing would jump out at you, really. So whenever
he scores points like that, it is a big factor for our team.”
