1. (a) Calculate the critical parameters(P,v,T at critical point)for a fluid that obeys the van der Waals equation. (P+a/v^2)(v-b)=RT,where a and b are positive constants. (b) Show that its critical compressibility factor, Z = 3/8. 2. (a) What would be the critical parameters for a fluid cbeying the ideal-gas equation of state. Pv = RT ?
