John Terry charged over alleged racist Ferdinand comments
The allegations centre around a game at Loftus Road in October
England captain John Terry will face charges of racism, the Crown Prosecution
(CPS) has said.
Terry is alleged to have used racist language towards Queens Park Rangers'
Anton Ferdinand, during Chelsea's 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road on 23 October.
The Chelsea captain was questioned under caution by police in November and a
file on the matter was sent to the CPS at the beginning of December.
The 30-year-old has always denied making the racist comments.
特里需要在明年(2012)的2月1日出庭。
特里的回應：
"I am disappointed with the decision to charge me and hope to be given the
chance to clear my name as quickly as possible," said Terry. "I will fight
tooth and nail to prove my innocence. I have campaigned against racism and
believe there is no place for it in society."
