Not even Allen himself. “I’m just taking the day to go through and understand how my body feels,” Allen said at Sunday’s shootaround. “But it’s kind of hard… it’s the playoffs. I’ve got to be thoroughly ready, and as much as I know I can help the team, I don’t want to detract away from the team, either.” Doc Rivers called the possibility of Allen playing in tonight’s Game 1 a “ 50-50” percentage. That number has seemingly surrounded Allen for the past couple of weeks, so the optimism around a possible return tonight isn’t exactly high. Rivers expects Allen to make an impact if he does return to the lineup. At the same time, the coach also has to be weary of what Allen’s body might be able to handle. “We’re not going to put him on the floor unless we think he can play well,” Rivers said. “Obviously he hasn’t played. His conditioning can’t be very good. I don’t know. We’re just going to put him out there and see.” There are a few things playing into Allen’s decision to come back tonight or to wait it out.
