福音：瑪六7-15 基督聖體聖血節（本日）
那時，耶穌對門徒說：
「你們祈禱時，不要嘮嘮叨叨，如同外邦人一樣，
因為他們以為只要多言，便可獲得垂允。
你們不要跟他們一樣，因為你們的父，在你們求他以前，已知道你們需要什麼。
所以，你們應當這樣祈禱：
我們在天的父！願你的名被尊為聖，
願你的國來臨，願你的旨意承行於地，如在天上一樣！
我們的日用糧，求你今天賜給我們；
寬免我們的罪債，猶如我們也寬免得罪我們的人；
不要讓我們陷入誘惑，但救我們免於凶惡。
因為你們若寬免別人的過犯，你們的天父也必寬免你們的；
但你們若不寬免別人的，你們的父也必不寬免你們的過犯。」
反省
延續昨天的福音，今天耶穌教門徒們如何祈禱。
在主禱文的前後還附帶了一個序與一個跋。
序文是祈禱不要嘮叨以為多言多效果，跋則是再次強調了寬恕的重要。
從這些附語可以反省到祈禱不是要讓神聽我的(嘮叨)，
而是要想辦法聽神的(實踐於人則神也實現承諾於己)。
用動詞的形式使主禱文成為一個愛的循環，
讓主的旨意在行動中承行的同時，也在寬恕中將愛擴散出去。
如此我們在誘惑與兇惡中也能指望天主的寬恕。

Gospel MT 6:7-15
Jesus said to his disciples:
“In praying, do not babble like the pagans,
who think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them.
Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
“This is how you are to pray:
‘Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.’
“If you forgive others their transgressions,
your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others,
neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”
