[福音] 復活期第六週 週四
你們要憂愁，但你們的憂愁要變成喜樂
福音：若十六16-20
那時候，耶穌對門徒說：
「只有片時，你們就看不見我了；
再過片時，你們又要看見我。」
於是他門徒中有幾個彼此說：
「他給我們所說的：
『只有片時，你們就看不見我了；再過片時，你們又要看見我。』
還有『我往父那裡去』，是什麼意思？」
又說：
「他說的這『只有片時』，究竟有什麼意思？
我們不明白他講什麼。」
耶穌看出他們願意問他，就對他們說：
「你們不是彼此詢問我所說的：
『只有片時，你們就看不見我了；再過片時，你們又要看見我』的話嗎？
我實實在在告訴你們：
你們要痛哭、哀號，世界卻要歡樂；
你們將要憂愁，但你們的憂愁卻要變為喜樂。」
反省
門徒們當然不明白耶穌說「不久便看不見祂，再過不久又要看見祂」的意思，
雖然他們想理解，但時候還沒有到。
耶穌這樣預告，是要讓他們有心理準備，
去接受他們料想不到的、使他們痛哭哀號、但最後變成歡樂的事。
你能接受生命中有這種事情嗎？你能相信天主對你有這種安排嗎？
可能是祈禱時沒有天主的回應，堅持很久卻不見所期待的神蹟，
甚至被眾人反對或攻擊。
在看不見、不理解的情況中仍然信賴、忍耐、盼望同時不斷努力，
這就是耶穌期望門徒擁有的信德。

Gospel JN 16:16-20
Jesus said to his disciples:
“A little while and you will no longer see me,
and again a little while later and you will see me.”
So some of his disciples said to one another,
“What does this mean that he is saying to us,
‘A little while and you will not see me,
and again a little while and you will see me,’
and‘Because I am going to the Father’?”
So they said,
“What is this ‘little while’ of which he speaks?
We do not know what he means.”
Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them,
“Are you discussing with one another what I said,
‘A little while and you will not see me,
and again a little while and you will see me’?
Amen, amen, I say to you,
you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices;
you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.”
