[聖經]信望愛

(NASB) Proverbs 22:4
The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, honor and life.
(NRSV) Proverbs 22:4
The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
真正 聖經原文與英文的文法衝突的例子：
1 Corinthians 13:13上半節
中文：思高聖經
現今存在的，有信、望、愛
νυνι δε μενει πιστιs ελπιs αγαπη
Now and (it)remains faith , hope , love
此段希臘文的思路，把"信望愛"三者當做單數名詞，使用單數的動詞，
而不是複數。
雖然先把信望愛單獨討論，又肯定愛的價值最高，
但是 把"信望愛"三者當做單數名詞，也就是同時包含三者的集合名詞，
其實也隱含 真正的 信望愛 是會並存的，不是三者單獨存在的關係。
英譯本中符合英文文法的翻譯，就無法表達這種意義，如：
English:New Jerusalem Bible
As it is, these remain: faith, hope and love
若是直譯希臘文，保留單數動詞，these remain就要改成 it remains
KJV此節則直譯，使用古英文的第三人稱單數動詞abideth。
KJV有不少新約希臘文句法的英文。
English: King James Version
And now abideth faith, hope, charity
新約聖經中的"三合一"集合名詞用法還不少，如以下所示：

"But now faith, hope, love abide" The verb is singular (cf. Gal. 5:22).
Paul often uses this triad (cf. Rom. 5:2-5; Gal. 5:5-6; Eph. 1:15-18;
Col. 1:4-5; I Thess. 1:3; 5:8; Hebrews) and other NT writers also
(cf. Heb. 6:10-12; I Pet. 1:21-22).
