The debate on which system to use is raging in the Italian media, with some newspapers claiming that Lippi's desire to attack with two strikers has been under pressure from the players themselves, who would prefer to be more protected at the back. An option that would perhaps suit both sides of the argument would be to field Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta out wide on the left in place of Mauro Camoranesi, so he and Totti can support lone forward Alberto Gilardino. With Pippo Inzaghi netting as a supersub against the Czechs, this pushes Serie A Capocannoniere Luca Toni to the back of the queue. Meanwhile, Totti revealed how the Italians are dealing with the time between games in their Duisburg camp. “It's very hot, so we have to be wary of wasting energy.
