Mano Menezes Places Argentina Ahead Of His Unbeaten Brazil Side

Undefeated Brazil coach Mano Menezes turned his attention to the next
challenge against Argentina, asserting that the Albiceleste are currently a
better team than his developing Selecao unit.
Speaking today with SporTV one day after Brazil defeated Ukraine 2-0 to make
it a perfect three wins from three starts, Menezes stated that Argentina will
begin with an advantage when the teams face each other in Qatar on November
17th.
"I believe that Argentina are on a different level than Brazil because they
are playing with the same team that played in the World Cup, therefore they
will have an advantage over us," the ex-Corinthians coach opined in this
morning's interview.
While Argentina have by and large stuck with the same group of players who
crashed out to Germany in South Africa, Menezes took the brave step of
dropping almost the entire World Cup squad as he looks to youth and the home
World Cup of 2014.
Only Dani Alves, Ramires, Nilmar and Robinho remain of the squad which went
out to Netherlands in the summer, while exciting new talents such as Neymar,
Alexandre Pato and Andre have featured heavily in the new era of Brazilian
football.
Menezes closed the chat by affirming that the increase in opposition quality
would not alter his outlook on the match, and that the Selecao would attempt
to play exactly the same type of game.
"We have a rival in front of us, which is much higher-rated than Ukraine, but
we are going to be prepared and we will play a game in the same manner," the
trainer affirmed.
