但我還是不太懂到底是什麼情況下會抑制
you have isolated a new mutation of the lac operon
in E. coli. This mutation called super-repressor, i^s,
makes a repressor protein that binds so tightly to
the operator that inducer cannot release it.
a) is the diploid i+p+z+y+a+/isp+z+y+a+ inducible? why?
b) is the diploid i+ocp+z+y+a+/isp+z+y+a+ inducible? why?
c) how can you tell i^s mutants apart from p- mutants
of the operon?
