[心得] How to Make a Good poster
How to Make a Good poster
(1) How to start a poster?
Here, I provide a general procedure from my limited experiences.
-->To think the most important message and novelty want to present.
-->To draw and write a rough draw.
(In this way, u will know what kinds of stuff u need!)
-->To prepare the stuff for poster
(2) The composition of poster (Flexible!)
Note: Don’t use too tons of texts in ur poster as far as possible,
but the texts must explain the result briefly and clear.
Moreover, the excellent pictures and cartoons can capture
more attention of audiences than text.
-->Title
轭 Keep the title short and sweet
-->Authors
-->Abstract (Discussion depend on u!)
-->Introduction
Background 迳 Current problems 迳 briefly mention ur solutions
-->Result (Discussion depend on u!)
轭 Keep the organization in logic and readable
-->Conclusion
轭 Be short, strong voice, and occupy ur contributions in the filed
-->Reference (Discussion depend on u!)
(3) The organizational patterns and notes:
-->Flexible (Depend on ur ideas)
-->Format consistency
轭 Tables, texts, and heading in a displayed list should look the same.
-->Style
轭 Use bold for titles and emphasis
轭 Use italic for quotations, questions, and some special meanings.
(But, don’t use over!)
-->Be legible and Readable (following logic thinks)
轭 Font size should be big enough to be read from 2 m away
(For poster size of 140*90 cm, I think that the font size
from 18-24 in text is enough)
-->Avoid complex or passive sentence structure (As far as possible!)
-->Poster elements and text should be properly contrasted
-->Proper color should be considered
(the core value is to let poster easy to read)
轭 A color for tile, standard text, emphasis, and background.
(4) Soft ware (depend on u!)
区 Power point (the easiest)
参 Photoshop or CorelDraw
