【工作內容】
The systems neuroscience research team at the Department of Anesthesiology of
Weill Cornell Medical College is looking for a lab technician. The team is
led by Dr. Jyun-you Liou and supervised by Dr. Hugh Hemmings. We study how
anesthetics modulate neural circuits to look for their novel applications in
neuropsychiatric disorders. Our approaches include extracellular
electrophysiology, in vivo fluorescence imaging, and computational modeling.
This position provides a fantastic opportunity to work with brilliant
scientists at Weill Cornell Medical College and Rockefeller University.
During this period, the assistant will learn cutting-edge neuroscience
research methods, attend international science conferences, and participate
in commercializing a state-of-art microscope. We encourage recent college
graduates interested in pursuing a career in medicine, science, or
biotechnology industry to apply for this position.
‧ Electrophysiology and optical experiments with rodent behavioral
training and testing.
‧ Rodent husbandry, genotyping, and brain surgeries.
‧ Brain tissue histology.
‧ Participation in data analysis and computational modeling.
‧ Reviewing science literature and presenting in lab meetings.
‧ Assisting in editing scientific publications, abstracts, and posters.
‧ Maintenance of lab environment and scientific research equipment.
【徵才條件】
‧ The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in neuroscience,
engineering, biology, or any related fields on the first day of work.
‧ Experience in animal surgery, microscopy, and electrophysiology is
welcomed.
‧ Basic programming language (MATLAB or Python) skills are welcomed but
not required.
‧ We expect a two-year commitment due to a substantial training effort
associated with the position.
【薪資待遇】
Approximately USD $40000 / year + fringe & health insurance
