The Rays took notice of the right-hander's development and acquired him from Minnesota as part of the Kevin Jepsen deal at the Trade Deadline in 2015. Hu continued to excel against older hitters in his first year with the Rays, earning Southern League All-Star honors at Double-A Montgomery as well as a chance to pitch for the World team in the SiriusXM All-Stars Future Game in July. His changeup is a plus pitch as well as his best secondary weapon, one he throws against hitters on both sides of the plate, and he's adept at mixing in a legitimate palmball.
