The Backstreet Boys have revealed that they are working on a new album.
The band said that they have started their ninth studio LP, but have yet to
decide on the sound of the record.
Howie Dorough told Digital Spy: "BSB are absolutely still together. We're
giving each other some time for solo projects, but we're also in the process
of putting together the next Backstreet Boys album.
"It's too early to say what the direction of the record will be - right now
we're just writing and gathering songs. Our last album was a bit more
Euro-dance but we're considering moving back to our pop-rock sound."
He added: "We always try to stay ahead of the curve and top ourselves with
each album."
The group, who are currently on a joint world tour with New Kids on the
Block, released their last full album This Is Us in 2009 and put out an album
with NKOTB earlier this year.
