Tourists got injured while travelling in NZ is covered by ACC and the cost
of treatment should be very cheap if not free.
It is always good to buy travel insurance, in case your luggage gets lost or
stolen, or if your itinierary is changed by some accident. Travel insurance
also covers the cost of medical treatment.
It is compulsary for overseas students to buy medical insurance.
