Look for a science or engineering postdoc
We are a group of young scientists and engineers from Academia Sinica who
enjoy exploring new scientific and technical researches. We are involved in
several recently initiated large-scale, multi-year, international projects to
study the science and techniques related to Taiwan’s important energy (gas
hydrate exploration and reservoir simulations) and disaster issues (natural
earthquakes, typhoons, and others).
Currently we have a postdoc position available. Applicants from engineering,
physics, chemistry, geosciences (including ocean and atmospheric science and
engineering), and math (especially statistics) fields are encouraged to
apply. The applicant should have experiences in one of the following fields:
digital data processing, data inversions, conductive and advective heat
transfer measurement and modeling, marine instrumentation, and seismic or
electromagnetic wave propagations. The research topics are flexible and
usually decided by applicant’s and lab member’s joint interests. Fieldwork
and Sea-going opportunities are available if interested.
