Tweeters described Parker as going to the ground in pain during his pitching motion and clutching his surgically repaired elbow. In the comments to this article, Athletics Nation member brynnfr describes the scene, "He went down during the pitch. Was rolling around in front of the mound clutching his arm. Pitch cleared the plate. Went over the catchers head into the backstop netting.
