According to Today's Houston Chronicle, Sunday's Long Island Newsday reported
that Clemens could request a trade to the Yankees if the Astros fall out of
playoff contention early.
Astros ownerMclane didn't deny the validity of newsday's report. He said
"anything is possible." But there is no written agreement in the contract.
Interesting. Unlike last year, McLane said publicly that "Roger goes nowhere"
when rumors were circulating.
The Long Island Newsday also reported that Ansy Pettitte's surgically repaired
left elbow might not be ready until a month into the season.
Oswalt and his agent are frustrated about negotiating a long term contract with
the Astros.
