Robert Pires has reportedly been offered a new and ‘cheap’ contract by
Villarreal president Fernando Roig.
Villarreal主席Roig最近給老皮開出便宜又小碗的合同。
Arsenal and France legend Pires is due to be out of contract at the end of the
season, but the midfielder has previously confirmed that he hopes he will
extend his stay in Spain by at least another year.
前法國槍手傳奇老皮合約原本預計在賽季後到期，但之前在媒體前曾表示願能在西甲多
踢一年。
Roig has responded by offering the veteran a new deal, but he has not been
able to match the attacker’s demands because of the current economic climate.
至今雙方仍未達成共識。
Pires will have the final word regarding his future with or without Villarreal
, with the Frenchman due to make up his mind before June.

Another former Arsenal player, Pascal Cygan, is expected to move on from the
Madrigal at the end of the season, with a number of Ligue 1 clubs keen on
securing his signing.
