Applications are invited for Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor (Academic Level B to D) within the School of Computing and Information Systems (CIS) and Engineering, University of Tasmania (UTAS), Australia The closing date for applications is on 23 August 2013. Founded in 1890, UTAS is the fourth oldest university in Australia and an original 'sandstone' university. For more information about the university, please refer to: http://www.utas.edu.au/about/ The School is undergoing re-profiling of its academic staff aimed at significantly improving the research performance of the School. The School aspires to achieve research excellence by strengthening key research activities, exploiting synergies, and by recruiting key staff, within the broader Open to Talent strategic plan of the University. CIS has also reviewed and refreshed all of its course offerings, with new programs to commence in 2014 and 2015 If successful, the incumbent will have responsibilities for research and teaching. CIS is keen to attract people who have excellent research track records in ICT. However, the School has identified strategic priority areas and would favour applicants who can contribute to these priorities. Women are particularly encouraged to apply as the University is seeking to increase the number of women in senior academic positions. Any appointment subsequently made will be at Academic Level B to D and will have a total remuneration package of up to AUD$111,499 - AUD$150,648 per annum (comprising salary within the range AUD$80,824 - AUD$128,759 plus 17 per cent superannuation, with the option of an additional 3 per cent salary loading in exchange for 14 per cent instead of 17 per cent superannuation).
