[心得] 2017 Sheffield Taiwan Scholarship

很開心自己居然會有機會拿到獎學金
開心之餘，友人提醒是否該分享下資訊，提供給大家參考
年度：2017
學校：The University of Sheffield
獎學金項目：Taiwan Merit Postgraduate Scholarship
獎學金額度：annual tuition fee 50% off
背景：台大畢，已工作4年，今年申請念碩士
GPA：3.68 (83.73)
IELTS：7 (L:7.5 / R:7 / W:6.5 / S:6.5)
此獎學金有要求要寫一些statement，題目如下：
This is an opportunity to demonstrate your outstanding academic,
personal or professional achievement or potential.
This statement should include the following information:
- Academic and other relevant professional achievements
- How you expect to benefit from your chosen course of study
- How you have the potential to make an exceptional contribution
to the University, and to society after you graduate
這部分我大概是一段一段照著回答，自行發揮
共寫了600字(要求為750字以下)，寫好後有給代辦潤稿才交出
其中特別有提到在大學其中一學期有特別高的GPA 4.15
因為畢竟這是Merit獎學金，自認大學平均GPA沒有很突出
我的工作和申請科系也相關，所以也帶入了很多工作的傑出經驗等
後記：
除了GPA外，我覺得這個獎學金最後給申請人的statement比重也不低
那個部分我寫了很久(約半個月)，一方面是邊工作只有假日可以好好寫
為了慎重起見，我把申請表格貼在WORD填好各種答案後，
請我的代辦幫我看有沒有寫錯，也順便潤稿
他回給我後我自己遞件
