Roma To Announce Fioranelli Take Over Deal Today - Report

Italpetroli, the Sensi family holding company which currently
controls Roma, is set to announce a takeover from a conglomerate
headed up by Italian businessman and football agent Vinicio
Fioranelli today, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Negotiations have rumbled on for weeks, and it now seems a deal has
been struck and an official announcement is expected later today.
Italian investment company Mediobanca have given the deal the
go-ahead and it is expected Fioranelli will purchase Sensi's 67
percent stake for around €300million.
Roma have always denied the reports of a takeover bid, but it is
said a deal is in place after talks overnight. The deal is being
seen as positive by many as it is claimed Fioranelli will invest
large sums of cash in the transfer market in order to make the
squad more competitive with Serie A's big three.
Il Corriere Dello Sport reports Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuan and
Wesley Sneijder will be the Giallorossi's first two objectives when
the new owners take their place at the club.
In addition, voices imply former sporting director Franco Baldini,
who is currently Fabio Capello's right-hand man with England, will
be brought back to the club.
An official statement from Italpetroli confirming the deal is
expected to follow this afternoon.
